ASA Europe is the Umbrella Organization that represents the Apex National Anambra State Associations in the various countries of Europe, currently includes Denmark, Turkey, Ireland, United Kingdom, France, Spain, Finland, Germany, Netherlands, Italy, Austria, Belgium, Switzerland, Norway, Sweden, and Russia.
Anambra State Association (ASA) Europe member countries are affiliated to The Anambra State Associations as the World-wide umbrella organization.
We the umbrella organizations of all the Anambra State Citizens Europe, having recognized the need for Ndi Anambra Europe to come together and speak with one voice and act with unity and love for the progress and projects in Anambra State, formed the Association on 24th October 2017.
Mission Statement
ASA Europe is founded on the twin principles of Ofu Obi (ONE MIND) and we are committed to working with, collaborating with, partnering with all genuine Igbo political, economic and social expression vehicles. By presenting a platform to leverage Ndi Anambra in Diaspora as a strategic partner on Anambra and Igbo issues, we aim to advance the Anambra and Igbo agenda as never before done in our post-war history.
We agreed to pursue the ASA Europe Project to be conducted jointly by member nations aimed at, but not limited to, perfection of a global union of Ndi Anambra, speaking with one voice and one accord, waging struggles as necessary, to conclude peace as always necessary, to establish and prosper our economies, to promote our welfare, to tell our stories, to celebrate our culture and history, and owing nothing but love to all men and women, to secure liberty and happiness to ourselves and posterity,
We, desire to influence the life and wellbeing of Ndi Anambra in Nigeria and in the Diaspora in a positive way via our joint projects.
Status of The Association
- ASA Europe is the supreme body but comprises of independent Anambra State Associations in Countries all over Europe coming together when necessary to keep Ndi Anambra in Europe coherent and successful by supporting and assisting each other.
- ASA Europe shall maintain Project-Oriented Not-for-Profit and Charitable role as a community organization.
- ASA Europe is lawfully registered as a company Limited by Guarantee (a Non- profit Organisation) in Europe as permitted and agreed by member countries.
- ASA Europe has the status of legal person and is subject to the jurisdiction and protection of the laws of member country where it is registered and may obtain right, make commitments and appear before a court or other authority as a legal entity.
- ASA Europe have formally adopted, written code of ethics with which all her member countries, special committees & institutes are familiar with and to which they must adhere.
- ASA Europe constitution, bylaws, rules and regulations constitute a contract between the associations’ member countries. Such a contract is binding upon each member state so long as the bylaws remain in effect. Moreover, one who becomes a member of association is deemed to have known and assented to the provisions of its charter and by-laws.
